Dr. Lorenzo Masci is a Sports and Exercise Medicine consultant (www.sportdoctorlondon.com) based at the ISEH (Institute of Sports and Exercise Health). He is one of an increasing number of Specialist Sports doctors who take a holistic approach to diagnosing and managing sports and exercise-related problems including sports injuries, work-related injuries, and medical problems associated with exercise. He will assess your injury and provide an accurate diagnosis and management plan.

He performs ultrasound on-site and can seamlessly refer you for other imaging such as X-Ray, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), and CT scans. He can undertake ultrasound-guided injections such as cortisone, hyaluronic acid, and platelet-rich plasma for various musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis and tendinopathy. If rehabilitation is required, he can refer you quickly for physiotherapy, podiatry, and osteopathy. He can also refer you to consultants in orthopaedic surgery, rheumatology, and pain medicine if needed.

As a Specialist Sports doctor, Dr. Lorenzo Masci has undertaken extensive and vigorous specialist training. After completing orthopaedic residency in Australia, he completed a four-year full time specialist Sports Doctor training program with the Australasian College of Sports Physicians. He then moved to London in 2007 to work as a Specialist Sports Doctor in the elite and private setting. He is on the Specialist GMC register for Sports and Exercise Medicine and is recognised by all private insurance companies.

Dr Lorenzo Masci works as a specialist sports doctor in various elite sporting environments. He was the lead Sports Doctor for Wasps Rugby from 2011 to 2016 and Melbourne Storm Rugby League from 2005 to 2007. He was a senior Sports Doctor for Tennis Australia from 2001 to 2007. He was also part of the Sports Doctor team at Fulham Football Club from 2008 to 2010.
